In summer of 2018 I interned at a Japanese company called 1-10 Inc., which helps other companies engineer and produce creative marketing campaigns. As most of my coworkers were Japanese, I communicated with them primarily in Japanese and also completed a prototype of a digital installation.

During my junior year of high school I attended Osaka International School of Kwansei Gakuin as part of their Global Futures Program. I lived in an international dormitory for seven months with students from all over the world, and in my host family's Buddhist temple for two months. Though most of my classes were in English, I took math classes in Japanese and returned with conversational Japanese.

The Stanford Japanese Exchange Conference is an annual student run short term exchange program where students from Keio, Doshisha and Kyoto University stay at Stanford's campus, and participate in a variety of social and academic activities.
